Rather than start a new thread I thought I would extend this one I have just today installed the Argos "One-for-all" AV Sender kit and after a lot of trial and error with the location of the transmitter and receiver I have it working reasonably well.
By that I mean I get a little interference when I stroll around the bedroom but on the basis that if I'm in bed watching TV I won't be strolling around I can live with this. So, all-in-all it's not really a seamless solution. So, first quick question, will switching the back of the AV Sender unit through settings make any difference to the way it blocks out the wi-fi sorry I have no idea what does?
Two, if I resort to getting the drills out as many of you seem to have done, what do I need to wire-up? I suppose my question is how do I get all the necessary signals from the lounge to end up at one outlet in the bedroom. Clearly I can't go wiring that lot to the bedroom so what's the best way to get both the Sky signal and the DVD signal to the bedroom? Or, finally, is it really a case of getting Sky in to fit another HD box in the bedroom? Thanks - Rich OK by fiddling with the transmitters and receivers I've got it pretty good now and on setting 1 there's very little interference from my wireless router.
Now another question, the Argos "One-for-all" AV Sender only has one input from a special lead that has a jack plug on one end and a scart plug on the other so that's connected to my Sky Box. What do you all think? I've tried the cheap one and expensive ones from aig, jvc and all for one but every one has problems because of the wi-fi. I am a little surprised that there inst a cat5 solution to this, my plan was to get a cat5 video sender and plug in into home plug for a wireless solution now i dont think that to far fetched Click to expand Does anyone know whether a pair of these would work using Home Plugs?
