Xbox 360 games demand overpriced

To give publisher Ubisoft some credit, they put some real talent behind the game. However, in the summer of , the game received a bit of a resurgence. After Polygon shared their praise, the game promptly doubled in value before year-end. During the era where game collecting was skyrocketing, Youtubers started spreading the word about how under-appreciated the game was and the value doubled yet again from there and continued a steady climb.

If you look at the resale prices of all the ports, they are all still rather cheap, but the Xbox version is well above them all in value. Not only is the one of the best versions of the game, but it plays very well on the Xbox One.

The title and cover presentation of this game kinda gives off a budget game vibe to a lot of gamers. Mothership Zeta is the fifth and final add-on for Fallout 3, developed and published by Bethesda Softworks. In addition to being sold digitally, the DLC code was sold in a retail case that looks similar to a game.

Apparently, the collectability it high enough that the demand has raised the resale value up quite a bit.

If anyone has additional insights into the collectability of this item, please let me know. This is exceptionally hard to find, along with a lot of the other region variants.

Cover is the same, but the game is in French. I will expand this section before too long. Good stuff. Perhaps that is why this collectors edition actually appreciated in value so much. I thought we were done with rare and valuable games for the newer consoles, but here we are.

Yeah, I finally feel comfortable taking on this particular generation now. Thanks for the recommendation — and yeah, I have a brief outline of a shmups guide. I should have thought to check on all those values. Perhaps I will do a quick follow-up soon. Again, your thoughts were very helpful. I added a bunch of items to the list. Operation Darkness indeed has grown quite a bit. Great read…I really enjoy these articles! All those sports titles! We need the racket boy shmups guide for the !

I have a very brief outline of a Shmup guide so far, but I just finished up the massive one, so I do need a little break. Haha no worries. I just sold a sealed copy of Sakura Flamingo Archives for a few months back. Wow cool. I was a real shooter completionist back in those days. Most people probably would not have heard of it. You barely took a break! Thanks for the follow-up — helpful for my eventual shmups guide.

Anyone have experience with the version of King Kong? The Dragon Age series was already incredibly popular by the time Dragon Age: Inquisition came out and so quite a few of these GameStop exclusive sets were sold. Due to the timing of the game's release, however, most of them were sold on the PS4 and Xbox One making the Xbox version something of a rarity. The set contains far too much to list here, but the highlights include a scale six piece Inquisitor lock tool set, a cloth map of Thedas, and four map markers.

When it comes to rock bands, they don't come much bigger than The Beatles. It's perhaps for this reason that this limited edition version of Rock Band sells for as much as it does. The game features 45 Beatles songs with many more available as DLC. The real value here comes not from the game itself though, but instead the accessories that came along with it. Due to the death of the rhythm game, however, many of these controllers ended up being thrown out which likely played a big part in the rise in their value.

Developed by a studio owned by a former MLB pitcher, written by a famous writer, and financed by an entire American state, to say that Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning has an interesting story behind it would be a bit of an understatement. Sadly though, despite a plethora of positive reviews, sales fell some way short of the amount needed for it to break even and, according to former governor Licoln Chafee , it ended up costing Rhode Island taxpayers millions.

Amongst other things, the set includes a signed troll statue, some limited edition artwork by Todd McFarlane, and a full set of themed tarot cards.

There were only produced across all platforms, making it incredibly rare. Prior to its release, many were talking up Titanfall as being a potential CoD killer. Although it never really came close to dethroning its FPS rival, it did make quite the impression with both players and critics. Its success led to a direct sequel and, ultimately, the creation of Apex Legends.

With sales of more than ten million , it's perhaps a little surprising that a collector's edition would be so rare, but there's a pretty good reason for this. The game released towards the end of the 's lifecycle meaning that many people ended up buying the Xbox One version instead. There are a number of reasons this relatively popular platformer manages to be so hard to obtain on the Xbox Aside from the fact this Playstation-based franchise never quite found an audience with the Xbox crowd, it was also the last title to be published by Sierra before going defunct in It's also the last mainline Spyro game to be produced - discounting the Reignited Trilogy remakes a decade later.

These factors made it an instant target for Xbox-brand collectors. While the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have, as a whole, proven to be popular hits, this particular DLC-included pack was short-lived, and thus, quite rare. The DLC content found on this copy was soon discontinued separately on the XBL marketplace, making this the only way to obtain these extra characters in physical form. On top of this, A "Platinum Hits" rendition of the game was cranked out mere months after this edition, further rendering it into the realm of obscurity.

Hence lower value. What I like to know is why some used games are more expensive the new copies. I saw this with Minecraft for PS3. Dave 7 years ago 9. DauthiBaldrs posted It's an American company with easier access to marketing to build more hype in the region, distribution channels well cemented across the nation, cheaper price point. Not that it really has anything more to offer certain gamers, but the average joe blow weekend gamer does tend to gravitate to the console they see on TV and the one that's more affordable.

If we were in Japan where the roles were reversed it would be the same thing but with PS3. There are more copies in supply and if the demand is less than the supply, the price of the game goes down, cause nobody is buying it.

The more popular games like CoD, Elder Scrolls, etc take forever to go down in price because the demand is high enough to match the supply in circulation. Also factor that people hang onto these games longer so there's actually less copies in circulation which also slows the rate of price decreasing.
